What a 15-market search snapshot can tell a global agency.

A dated snapshot of web design and redesign search demand. See how Absurd compares markets, checks intent and separates opportunity from assumption.

A useful keyword number starts a question. It does not finish a business case.

On 24 October 2026, we compared a consistent set of service and buying-research phrases across 15 countries. The purpose was practical: decide which questions Absurd should explain clearly and which markets deserve further investigation. We also checked Germany in German for context; our current delivery focus there remains English-speaking buyers.

The figures below are provider estimates for Google Search, requested through DataForSEO’s Google Ads keyword endpoint using Treg. The requested period was October 2025–September 2026, English, without search partners. They are not visits to our website, a ranking report or a forecast of enquiries.

Start with a comparable question

Keeping the phrase, provider and requested period consistent makes the comparison more useful. It does not remove all uncertainty from the data.

Market Web design agency Website redesign services
United States 12,100 5,400
Canada 1,300 590
United Kingdom 2,900 880
Australia 880 880
Germany, English query set 390 320

These reported monthly-volume estimates describe two phrases, not the size of the complete market. They should not be added to related variants and presented as separate groups of buyers. A person can search more than once, and providers can group close variants.

We have made a small country-level sample available as CSV. It includes the source, requested period and language so the numbers can be read in context.

Look at what the results are helping people do

A phrase can sound commercial while the results mainly help people find examples, templates or broad explanations. Our sampled ecommerce-design results included inspiration content as well as providers. That changes the kind of page a reader may need.

A provider-focused phrase can justify a clear service explanation. A comparison question may need a decision guide. Someone researching cost needs scope variables and a way to assess proposals, rather than an invented average price.

The question we use is: what useful decision can this page help a reader make, and what can the business credibly deliver afterwards?

Treat difficulty as a screening signal

We also obtained modeled organic-difficulty estimates and checked selected live search results. Those are different inputs from advertiser competition or paid bids.

A low modeled difficulty score does not prove that a query is easy to rank for. Some candidates already had detailed guides and established providers. The useful next step is to inspect the actual result set, the audience it serves and whether a proposed page adds something worthwhile.

That might be a clearer commissioning checklist, a worked example or an explanation of delivery responsibilities. It is a specific content opportunity to test, not proof that an entire country is underserved.

Keep small-market data in perspective

The five Caribbean countries in the wider snapshot were Jamaica, Trinidad and Tobago, Barbados, the Bahamas and Grenada. Several phrases returned small rounded figures, reported zeros or unavailable values.

Those outcomes are different. An unavailable value is not a measured zero, and neither tells us how many suitable customers might arrive through referrals, relationships or other channels. They also do not justify presenting the Caribbean as one uniform high-volume search market.

For Absurd, the response is to keep our actual Kingston base accurate while making the worldwide offer clear. A country name alone is not a sufficient reason to create another near-identical page.

Make the research useful after the spreadsheet

We used the findings to organise buying guides and practical answers around websites, content, marketing, strategy and AI. Each focused answer includes a concrete example, decision checks and brief notes a reader can download.

The next evidence must come from real use: relevant queries, useful reading journeys, delivered enquiries and qualified conversations. A technical SEO score, a large content count or an opened email draft cannot establish that commercial outcome.

If you are planning a launch or expansion, start by defining the offer and the buying decision. Our guide to market research before a website launch explains the inputs to bring. Then use the data to choose a bounded next step that can teach the business something useful.

Method and limits

This is a dated, selected-query snapshot. English results do not represent every language in a country; Canada/French and other language audiences require separate work. Language-filtered datasets can overlap and should not be summed as unique people. Provider databases and fresh requests can also disagree, so the table uses one consistently requested source.

The provider’s keyword-data documentation describes the endpoint. No traffic increase, ranking outcome or client result is claimed by this analysis.
